Be A.W.A.R.E.

Here it is my new years resolution. My goal is to loose weight, drink more water, eat healthier, and exercise regularly. Thanks Maria for the be A.W.A.R.E. plan. :)
Be A.W.A.R.E.'
Be
A.- ACCEPT that it's going to take time to turn it around. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither where my thighs. Also ACCEPT your/my body type.

W.- WATER...Drink plenty of it every single day. Stay hydrated.

A.-ACCOUNTABILITY...This is a must. This is where our friend, a good scale comes in, but only weigh once a week. No more. Preferably on the same day. With clothes and a heavy coat the first week, naked the second week. You'll notice results right away. Then keep track of you progress.

R.-REALITY CHECK...You can want to change and even think you are going to do it, but if you aren't living in reality and write down what you eat, you'll be in the dark about what you're really taking in.

E.-EXERCISE...Another must for my mental well being as well as just the physical benefits...plus, (bonus: I can eat more when I exercise)

(Alright Maria, I'm in on it but I might need a little help...) I have a hard time getting motivated to exercise and eat right and I definitely like junk food more than the healthy stuff. I was trying to accomplish my goal of losing ten pounds and had lost 4 lbs but when the holidays rolled around and the stress came about I put 5lbs back on. So.. my plan is to BE AWARE! -thanks Maria for your inspiration! It's Sunday night and I'm weighing in with the biggest coat in my closet, a sweater, and my camera. Thanks for photo shop I just blotted out a couple numbers.

One website said the ideal weight for a girl at my height (5') is 100lbs. I would love to make that weight but the reality of it is I don't think I'll ever get there. This calculator made me feel a little better.
Here is my favorite site for calculating weight ranges. I honestly think that how much you should weigh depends on your frame size. That's my favorite calculator. I think 100lbs. is a little overboard for an ideal weight. I was 100lbs in Junior High! It's definitely not where I feel I should be now.
I'll try and keep posting my progress because I think it will help me stay on track.

Lol thats great!! I love your post. I gained 53 lbs with Nixon so whenever I went to the Dr. (at the end) and stepped on the scale I would just PRAY there wasnt a #2 in the front. Sigh. There never was but it was close! I made my goal to be a sixe 7 by September rather than a specific number, So I dont even need a scale, I just periodically try on my jeans til the fit then I know Im in a good place! lol

I wish i saw this before! I'm just at the tail end of my healthy treck! I gained 15 lbs with my first and 10 more with my second. But now I'm 4 lbs from my goal weight, (110, or 105, so when i stop trying so hard it can fluctuate back to 110) I'd like to tone up after that I think...But I should post progress and stuff too!
