As I edit through my first wedding with the new 5d MarkII I am overjoyed. The difference in color and quality is incredible. I felt guilty for spending $2500 on a new camera when we already had enough however as soon as it was in my hands at the reception all quilt went away. I will never look back on a purchase that would improve the quality of an image. This image was shot at 2000 ISO, at 50mm, 1.8 aperture, NO FLASH! To me it is beautiful for more reasons than one. This is one of the points during the dinner that I too let go some tears. I'm so glad that I zoomed into this image instead of passing it up. :) This is what makes weddings so worth the ten hours spent on my feet, the 30+ hours of editing, and the thousands of dollars spent on equipment.

We are having another GIRL!!!

Today we went to the doc for the BIG ultrasound. We were both thinking that it might be a boy but we were wrong! We are having another little girl! Emma will have so much fun with a little sister. She was really excited to be able to see the baby and point out when she would see a hand or foot. Here are some images :)



Other news from the ultrasound is that the umbilical cord only has two vessels instead of the normal 3. This means there are some extra risks and that they will need to keep a closer eye on her. :) Her right kidney also appears to be abnormal with possible cysts and fluid. We will be going to the Perinatologist toward the end of March to do a more in depth ultrasound. We will have more information then and update then as well. We are praying that she will be ok and have faith that she will be.

V-Day

I know it has been a long time since we have posted but we have been sick with colds for 3 weeks straight. I also came down with a sinus infection :( My first one and extremely painful. Anyhow, many of you have been anxious to see more pictures of Emma and I've promised more so here they are!

Jeremy's family has a tradition growing up that every valentines day they frost homemade sugar cookies. Every child had a cookie with their name on it. We decided that it is a tradition that we definitely want in our family. Even though we were all sick we still made some. We frosted them for our far away family put their names on them and sent pictures. My mom liked that she got a cookie without the calories. We also didn't want to share our germs with anyone. I just wish that we didn't have to eat them all!!!

Jenny and Craig's Wedding • Las Vegas Wedding Photographer

It was hard to pick favorites from Jenny and Craig's wedding until after we were done going through all 2,000+ images. It might have to wait till we are done with all the editing before I post other weddings as well. It's easier to pick faves after I have seen them all. This wedding was beautiful! The reception was exquisite. I loved how they chose to decorate. I have never been to a reception with so much planned. There were 3 musical numbers (one was a duet that Jenny and Craig sang together), the introduction to the wedding party, lots of special dances, lots of fun games, and all the usual... cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc. I was entertained the entire time. :) Jenny and Craig are the cutest couple. I was hoping they would have their wedding video online by the time I posted this but it isn't finished yet. I can't wait to see it. :)
