Freckles

With my goal to be more aware in 2009 I've been trying to exercise everyday other than Sundays and Saturdays and although I don't quite make it everyday I have managed to do some sort of workout at least 3 times a week. It's been a few weeks and I feel great. I wanted to loose some weight but have only managed to gain a couple more pounds (muscle right?) although my weight is higher I feel better than before. I'm giving my goal to loose 10 lbs the boot!!!!! As long as I feel great it shouldn't matter. It's just numbers on a scale. My new goal in replace to the loose 10 lbs. is to eat healthier.
Here are a couple of the things I've been trying to do to keep my body in better shape and to prepare for another pregnancy.
Trips to the YMCA.
I love that they will watch EmmaLee so I can have a good little workout. It also makes a good date night since they will watch Emma and Jeremy and I can play raquet ball together.

Going for walks at the park with friends. (good for Emma and I)
This has been SOOO good for me. We try and go a few times a week and I KNOW for a fact that I would not have the motivation to walk 2-4 miles on my own. When others are counting on you to be there it's easier to get going. It's also been a good start to my day. I've realized that since doing this I'm sleeping better at night than I EVER HAVE! No more nightmares (sleep paralysis) and no more trouble falling asleep. I am loving it.
I heard this song for the first time this last week and have decided that...
I am beautiful

It's something that is hard for me to say. My whole life I have had a hard time accepting how I looked. I was never as beautiful as I thought I should be and I still catch myself wishing I had more or less of something or other. I know that we are all more judgmental of ourselves than we are of others but I am trying really hard to be positive and not compare myself to others.

P.S. I chopped my hair off! (about seven inches) (not my favorite picture but Jeremy picked it.)

I wish I had your inner strength to get that exercising done! Good for you! I like your hair. I guess if Jeremy picked that picture - he must really like it! It is a good one.

GOOD FOR YOU! That is so awesome all the good things that you are doing for yourself. You are beautiful Jo. I totally understand where you're coming from though. That is one of the things that bothers Jonathan most about me... I ALWAYS compare myself to others!!

Yay for exercising! I don't really like to exercise, but now that I can't do it (darn leg pain), I really wish I could. I like that song, I had never heard it before. And I love your new hair style! I need to do something different with my hair.

Good for you on the exercising! As for your new do...
You are young enough that I can say that your haircut makes you look older...in a good way. Do I also see a weave in there?! It looks fantastic on you. You are a beauty, inside and out. :-)
